Please note, in order for a candidate to participate in a promotional examination, they must possess the required permanent employment with the participating civil division(s) as noted on the promotional examination announcement.  Promotional exams require candidates to be permanently employed in the participating agency and to have served on a permanent basis in the specific title(s) noted on the exam announcement. Please read the announcement carefully to ensure you meet the promotional qualifications.

Applications for examinations faxed or emailed to the Civil Service office will not be accepted.

All checks and money orders for civil service examinations must be made payable to the City of Port Jervis.
