City of Port Jervis welcomes all vendors to register to the Empire State Purchasing Group:

The City of Port Jervis has partnered with BidNet as part of the Empire State Purchasing Group to post bid opportunities to this site. As a vendor, you can register with the Empire State Purchasing Group and be sure that you see all available bids and opportunities. By selecting the “Limited Access” your company will receive emails once the City of Port Jervis has a bid opportunity that matches your company's business. In addition, the site handles bid opportunities, RFPs, and RFQs for other member governmental agencies throughout New York.

JOB OPENINGS
The Recreation Department is accepting applications for the following seasonal (summer) positions:
1. Lifeguard (at West End Beach)
Lifeguards MUST be at least 16 years old and pass all necessary certification courses- Lifeguarding, Waterfront Safety, CPR and First Aid. PJ Rec will ASSIST qualified candidates complete certification courses. Beach season is June 25- August 19. Weekend work will be required. Pay is $20.50 per hour.

2. Recreation Laborer (in city parks and playgrounds)
Recreation Laborers MUST be at least 18 years old. Duties include mowing grass, weed wacking, cleaning, repairs, etc., and assisting DPW as needed. Work schedule is Monday-Friday and begins in May and/or June. Pay is $17.50 per hour.
